Staff Accountant/AP Specialist

Location:

Arlington, VA

Job Summary:

Targeted Victory is looking for an individual to work on the Finance & Accounting team to assist with the General Ledger activities and Monthly Financial Statement close. This position will require the individual to possess strong time management skills, attention to detail and experience with GAAP reporting and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition. The individual should have demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment and be able to coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing monthly accounting transactions
  • Assist with month end close process
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for review by Senior Accountant
  • Prepare monthly account analysis and reconciliations
  • Generate ad-hoc reporting as required
  • Work closely with all team members to ensure accuracy and completion of all financial reporting within established deadlines
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules for interim and year end reviews
  • Assist Controller with other accounting tasks as needed

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant involved in the month end close process of a multi-dimensional organization
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google products, Intacct, Salesforce
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and focused on producing accurate results
  • Ability to meet established deadlines a must
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Marketing Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Targeted Victory uses best-in-class marketing technology to help our clients succeed, and the foundation of our tech stack is data and the systems we use to store, manage, and use data. The Marketing Database Administrator plays a key role by overseeing the organization, integrity, and security of our data. You will be involved in the planning and development of our data systems, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of our teams.

Our data is connected across our marketing technology stack, and because of this, you will gain experience in working with a data warehouse, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Datorama, and other world class platforms. We are on the leading edge of using these platforms, and this role provides opportunity to learn marketing technology while contributing to client successes and Targeted Victory growth.

This position requires a self-starter mentality and comfort working in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data integrity across all Targeted Victory data platforms, including a data warehouse, Datorama, and multiple Salesforce instances
  • Manage and work with external vendors for break/fix tasks, along with larger data projects
  • Design, implement, and integrate new data sources into the data infrastructure as needed
  • Monitor the performance of hardware and software and ensure they are updated
  • Understand and monitor cybersecurity measures
  • Ethically handle private data

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related degree, or proven experience in database support or management
  • 3-4 years of experience in database support or management
  • Experience with ETL management preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and Datorama is welcome and not required if you are willing to learn
  • Knowledge of database design, theories, and structure languages such as SQL or SQL/PSM
  • Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialists to set up, maintain, and monitor data networks
  • Familiarity with database management best practices
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices
  • Experience with a variety of computer information systems

Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

Targeted Victory is looking for an individual to work on the FP&A team as a financial analyst. This position will report to the Director of FP&A. We are looking for someone who has the drive to learn the ins and outs of the financial planning process for our business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a high-visibility role in a growing, fast-paced company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual budgeting and monthly P&L forecasting process for the company across all departments and products.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Support the business teams in creating client fundraising budgets.
  • Create efficiencies in the month-end close process. Ensure a smooth flow of information between the product teams and the accounting team during month-end close. Help the accounting team with certain month-end close reconciliations (deferred revenue, accrued expenses, etc.)
  • Help Business Leads understand the financial performance of their respective P&Ls
  • Create presentations and slide-decks for the Executive Team.
  •  Develop financial models and provide strategic insight based on model outputs.
  • Assist with any financial system implementations.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

We are using Marketing Cloud and Salesforce in innovative ways that bring new efficiencies and insights to our teams.

In partnership with our Chief Strategy Officer, you will be involved in the planning and development of our Salesforce ecosystem. Our data is connected across our marketing technology stack, and because of this, you will also gain experience in working with a data warehouse, Datorama, and other world class platforms. We are on the leading edge of using these platforms, and this role provides opportunity to push the boundaries of marketing technology while contributing to client successes and Targeted Victory growth.

This position requires a self-starter mentality and comfort working in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for a Marketing Cloud environment with 50+ users
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports, and other routine tasks
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Manage data feeds and other integrations
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Marketing Cloud skill set across the organization
  • Act as a liaison between our users, vendors, and consulting teams

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Marketing Cloud Administrator
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certified
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build journeys and other items of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Cloud best practices and functionality
  • Strong data management abilities
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
