Matt brings over a decade of experience advising presidential candidates, members of Congress, and Fortune 50 companies on storytelling, media training, and crisis management. His specialty is helping clients across business, sports, entertainment, and politics navigate today’s media landscape.
A veteran of three presidential campaigns, he most recently served as a senior advisor to Tim Scott for America. Before that, he was Communications Director for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), where he was named to POLITICO Playbook’s Power List. He also served as Rapid Response Director and National Spokesman for Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential campaign, as well as Deputy Rapid Response Director on Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign.
Matt is also an NBC News Contributor, providing political analysis and insights across the network, including Meet the Press, Top Story with Tom Llamas, and election night coverage. He was named to the American Association of Political Consultants’ 40 Under 40 in 2025 and selected as a Pritzker Fellow at the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics in 2024.
He is a graduate of Stonehill College and resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his dog Millie.
